The terms that govern your use of Skillivo, and how we collect, use, and protect your information — in one place.
Effective date: 31 July 2026 · Last updated: 31 July 2026
Welcome to Skillivo. This page contains two agreements that apply whenever you access or use our websites, applications, and services (together, the “Service”): our Terms of Service, which set out the rules for using the Service, and our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information. In this document, “Skillivo,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Skillivo, and “you” and “your” refer to the person or entity using the Service.
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Skillivo. Please read them carefully. By creating an account, unlocking a course, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and others who access the Service. By using the Service you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization, and “you” will refer to both you and that organization. Additional terms may apply to specific features, promotions, or enterprise or team plans; where they conflict with these Terms, the additional terms control for those features.
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if higher, to create an account and use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly permit their use of it. You must not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under the laws of your country or any applicable jurisdiction, or if you have previously been suspended or removed from the Service.
To use most features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you. You must notify us promptly at support@skillivo.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to keep your credentials confidential. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, and you may not create an account by automated means or use another person’s account without permission.
Skillivo is a personalized learning platform. You describe a goal or skill you want to acquire, and Skillivo uses artificial intelligence to generate a tailored learning plan and course — including lessons, explanations, diagrams, worked examples, interactive practice, hands-on labs, assessments, and an in-lesson assistant — adapted to your stated level and objectives, and refined as you progress. You may preview a limited portion of a course before deciding whether to unlock the full course. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features of the Service at any time. Some features may be offered on a trial, preview, or “beta” basis and may be changed or discontinued without notice.
A core part of the Service produces content automatically using artificial intelligence and third-party AI models. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or otherwise unsuitable for your particular circumstances, and may not reflect the most current information. While we design the Service to ground content in reputable sources where possible, we do not warrant that any generated content is accurate, reliable, or fit for any particular purpose.
Content provided through the Service is for general educational purposes only. It is not professional advice and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. In particular, nothing in the Service constitutes legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, or other regulated advice. You are responsible for independently evaluating and verifying any information before relying or acting on it, and you use generated content at your own risk.
The Service lets you submit information and materials — such as your goals, answers, notes, documents, files, and other uploads (together, “Your Content”) — which Skillivo uses to personalize and deliver your learning experience. You retain all ownership rights you already have in Your Content. We do not claim ownership of it.
By submitting Your Content, you grant Skillivo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, and otherwise use Your Content for the purposes of operating, providing, securing, and improving the Service — including generating and delivering personalized courses to you and maintaining backups. This license lasts only as long as we need it for those purposes. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content, and that its submission and use as contemplated here does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party or any law. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for making sure you have the right to upload it. Do not upload material you do not have permission to use, or that contains sensitive personal information you are not authorized to share.
You agree to use the Service lawfully and responsibly. You must not, and must not attempt to, and must not permit anyone else to:
We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement. We may remove content or restrict access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.
The Service, and all software, text, graphics, designs, logos, trademarks, and other materials provided by Skillivo (excluding Your Content), are owned by Skillivo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property and other laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service and the course content generated for you, for your own personal, non-commercial learning. Except as expressly allowed, you may not copy, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from the Service or its content. “Skillivo” and our logos are our trademarks; you may not use them without our prior written permission. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or obligation to you.
Creating an account is free, and you can preview a limited portion of a course at no charge. To access a full course, you unlock it for a one-time, per-course price that is sized by the amount of learning the course contains. Skillivo does not operate on a recurring subscription for individual courses; there are no recurring charges for an unlocked course, and an unlocked course remains available to you as described at the point of purchase. Prices, currencies, taxes, and any applicable discounts are shown before you complete a purchase. Prices may change over time, but changes will not affect courses you have already unlocked.
Payments are processed by one or more third-party payment providers; by making a purchase you also agree to the applicable payment provider’s terms, and you authorize us and the provider to charge your selected payment method. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase other than taxes on our income. Except where required by law or expressly stated at the point of purchase, fees are non-refundable; however, because you can preview before you buy, and if an unlocked course materially fails to meet its stated description, we will work with you in good faith to re-generate it or provide a refund as described at checkout. Where any credit or promotional balance is offered, its terms (including any expiry) will be presented at the time it is granted.
The Service relies on, links to, or integrates with third-party products and services — for example, hosting, payment processing, analytics, and AI model providers. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Third-party links are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may close your account by contacting support@skillivo.com. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time — with or without notice — if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if required to protect the Service, other users, or third parties, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, timely, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that generated content will be accurate or reliable. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skillivo and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Skillivo in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Skillivo and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your use of the Service, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service, are governed by the laws applicable at Skillivo’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer where you live, you and Skillivo agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that place to resolve any dispute. Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve it informally by contacting us at support@skillivo.com.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting the updated Terms with a new “last updated” date or by other means. Changes take effect when posted unless stated otherwise. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms that apply to specific features, are the entire agreement between you and Skillivo regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them, for example in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, or joint venture. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Skillivo collects, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Service. By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described here.
The controller responsible for your personal information is Skillivo. If you have any questions or wish to exercise your rights, contact us at support@skillivo.com. Where we act as a processor on behalf of an organization (for example, an employer that provides you access to a team plan), that organization is the controller of your information and its own privacy notice applies.
a. Information you provide. This includes: account and profile details (such as your name and email address); the learning goals, objectives, answers, and preferences you share during onboarding and use; materials you upload as context for your courses (such as notes, documents, and files); the content of messages you send to our in-product assistant or to support; and information you provide when you make a purchase (billing details are collected and processed by our payment provider — see below).
b. Information we collect automatically. When you use the Service, we and our providers automatically collect certain technical and usage data, such as your device and browser type, operating system, IP address, approximate location derived from your IP address or time zone, pages and features you use, actions you take, dates and times of access, referring URLs, and diagnostic and performance data. We collect this using cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookies section).
c. Information from third parties. We may receive information from service providers who help us operate the Service — for example, our payment provider may confirm whether a payment succeeded, and analytics or security providers may share aggregated or technical data. If you access the Service through an organization or a single-sign-on provider, we may receive limited account information from them.
We use personal information to:
To generate and personalize your courses, the Service processes the goals, answers, and materials you provide, including by sending relevant portions to third-party AI model providers that perform the generation on our behalf under contractual protections. We instruct such providers to process this data only to provide the service to us. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use the content you upload to publicly train foundation models. You should avoid uploading sensitive personal information or confidential third-party information you are not authorized to share.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you (to provide the Service you request); our legitimate interests (to secure, operate, analyze, and improve the Service and prevent abuse, balanced against your rights); your consent (for example, for certain cookies or optional communications, which you may withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations.
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the Service secure, and understand how the Service is used. Some are strictly necessary for the Service to function; others are optional (for example, analytics). Where required by law, we ask for your consent for non-essential cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where provided, through our cookie controls; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes such as security and backups. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and the reason we hold it. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction — such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
Skillivo operates internationally, and your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than the one in which you live, including countries that may have data-protection laws different from yours. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) or another lawful transfer mechanism. You can contact us for more information about these safeguards.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information: to access a copy of it; to correct inaccurate information; to delete it; to restrict or object to certain processing; to portability (receive it in a portable format); and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can access and update much of your account information directly in the Service, and you can opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link.
EEA/UK. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may exercise the GDPR rights above and have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request access and deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising your rights. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@skillivo.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age described in the eligibility section of our Terms. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond, we currently do not respond to those signals. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy notices.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy with a new “last updated” date and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated Policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us at support@skillivo.com or through our contact page.
